             Mission
The mission of Victory Life Academy’s
Warrior Club is to work closely with the VLA Athletic Program to:
1.   Teach the students life’s lessons and to form the kind of positive character traits that will continue throughout a lifetime.
2.   Help students to overcome life’s challenges with character building through a positive athletic program.
3.   Provide for students a learning environment conducive to building high self-esteem while learning concepts and skills that can be applied to situations which may arise in a young person’s life.

The Warrior Club Purpose:


To provide volunteer services to the VLA Athletic Program.

There is a vast range of volunteer opportunities, including, but not limited to working concession stands, care of fields, after game cleanup, and gate workers, etc. (see back page)

To provide financial support via fundraising activities and memberships to help supply the needs of the VLA Athletic Program.
The financial needs may range from the purchase of equipment & uniforms, meals, and hotel costs for overnight trips to major expenditures such as construction and maintenance of a football field, track, and gymnasium etc.  
The VLA Warrior’s Code of Ethics:
Loyalty, Courage & Honor.
The Warrior Club, along with the VLA Athletic Staff, believe that athletics can contribute to the success of a young person’s life beyond the field or court.  The principles of teamwork transfer into all areas of human endeavor.
Such principles include:
1.     Positive attitudes,
2.     Honoring and trusting teammates,
3.     Playing within the rules,
4.     Honoring those in authority (i.e., coaches, referees and principals),
5.     Controlling one’s emotions (both positive and negative),
6.     Overcoming adversity and difficult odds, Winning with humility, and losing with dignity.
 
Warrior Club Responsibilities:

1.   Warrior Club Membership – Recruit, maintain membership roll, newsletters, season passes, etc.,
2.   Advertising/Sponsorships – Renewal, maintaining sponsorship, advertising, game programs,
3.   Fields/Gym – Maintaining, prepare & cleaning of,
4.   Cookouts – Meet the warriors nights, game day, fundraising,
5.   Gate workers – Scheduling of gate workers & gate workers for all home games,
6.   Concession Stand – Scheduling of workers, workers, ordering/maintaining/delivery of supplies & food, cleaning, preparing,
7.   Chains – 3 people to run chains at each football game (JH/HS),
8.   Cleanup – After all sporting events,
9.   Scheduling of – An announcer, prayer, national anthem, game ball, etc. at each sporting event,
10.  Statistician/Photographer – One person for each sport to keep record of stats & photos,
11.  Away game meals – Plan, organize, prepare, pickup etc. sack lunches (if needed),
12.  After game meals – Plan & organize (if needed),
13.  Bookkeeping – Maintain bank account of VLA Warrior Club, ensure accuracy & accountability,
14.  Athletic Spirit Promotions – Promoting, ordering, selling of Athletic Spirit promotions,
15.  Hospitality Room –
Prepare hospitality room for referee’s at each home game.
