The Parent/Teacher organization of Victory Life Academy
The mission of PATRONS is to support Victory Life Academy in its endeavor to provide students in the community with a challenging academic education in a Christ-centered environment. This includes fundraising activities that directly benefit and enhance the learning experience for students, and the coordination of volunteers to serve both the students and the teachers.
Objectives of Patrons is: 		Officers Elected 9/09/2008
President: Lisa & Dave Haley (team)

Secretary: Barbra Epperson
Treasurer: Judy McCown

● To glorify Christ in everything that is done.
● To involve parents in support of the school and its educational activities.
● To engage in activities which support the school and advance the education and general welfare of the students in the school.
● To foster communication between parents, staff and students with the interest of promoting understanding and cooperation.
● To coordinate the action of parents in support of extracurricular activities of the school.
● To assist with fundraising and purchase of materials to enhance school programs.

Winter Festival

3.   Hi Everyone!!!!  Time for the daily update on the needs for our PATRONS/Winterfest booth!  With some excellent help from our parents the only things we have left on the list are:

We need:
1 Jar of Coffeemate
LOTS of bags of mini Candy Canes (individually wrapped) for the parade....

FANTASTIC JOB EVERYONE!!!! The jars and whisks that I ordered will be in on Tuesday and we'll start calling people after Thanksgiving to see who is in town or what days are good for them to start assembly of our jars!  Deanna Belli has been so very gracious in offering her home to assemble...She has a fantastic space to do this and if you see her 
thank her immensely, hopefully, it won't be TOO messy!!!  :)

I am so happy and proud of everyone for their time in ensuring that we 
have a successful and wonderful Winterfest event for VLA!!!

1.   As of this morning, we have people signed up for:  FLOUR, SUGAR AND  BROWN SUGAR, COOKING OATS AND RICE KRISPIES.... Just specify how much everyone is going to donate,  that'd be FANTASTIC!!!!   When you get the products, if you could just  leave up to the school for me and I can check with Mrs. Gail..... Winter Festival:

We have come up with a list of what we are going to need for our PATRONS table at Winterfest....We are going to be selling jars of cocoa and layered brownie and layered cookie mix in jars....The jars will be decorated festively for the event....I will be donating the jars and lids, I also got mini-Whisks to attach to the jars to add a little decorative and holiday flair!!!

Here's what we need.....
4---5 pound bags of all purpose flour.
4---5 pound bags of sugar
3---2 pound bags of light brown sugar
5---16 ounce Hershey's cocoa (LISA HALEY WILL BE TAKING CARE OF THIS --LISA, I ADDED ANOTHER CAN FOR THE COCOA)
5---packages of white chocolate chips
5---packages of mini M&M's --green and red color...
2---boxes of quick cooking oats.
1---large box of Rice Krispies.
5---bags of chopped pecans (optional)
1---bag of powdered sugar
2---bag of mini Marshmallows
2---pounds of powdered milk.
1---jar of powdered coffeemate

Also, as many bags of MINI-candy cane (individually wrapped) to throw out for the parade on December 5th...We will be entering a float....The more bags of mini-candy canes the better!!!! No limits on how many!

If anyone or everyone can email me or call me with what they can provide for the Winterfest Cookie/Cocoa/Brownie in a Jar, I would be soooo appreciative! The sooner everyone can do this, the better! We know everyone is going to be hitting the stores to get ready for Thanksgiving, maybe if you could call me and let me know what you can help us out with---I can write that down and pass it on so we get just what we need and not extra....Please call me as soon as you can, I'd appreciate it so much!

You can reach me pretty much all the time at 325-280-9062....I will carry the list with me, so, I can be ready at a moment's notice to check off what we've got....I'll sporadically send emails to update you what we have or will be needing...I would like to get a couple of
volunteers (an assembly line if you will!!!) to help assemble the jars...The sooner we get the ingredients the sooner we can get the jars done...We are going to make about 48 jars and we'll have some pretzels and candy cane dipped in chocolate (Lisa Haley have the exact information on this)....

Feel free to call me anytime, we need everyone's help! With everyone's help we can make our PATRON's table a FANTASTIC opportunity to raise money for VLA!!! YAY!!!!!
